Painting Competition City of Seveso

Seveso's City Council, in collaboration with Sofonisba, has organized a painting competition for emerging artists on March 2008.

For this special occasion, Sofonisba has invited as guest of honor Professor Stefano Zecchi, faculty lecturer in Aesthetics at the University of Milan, who appreciated the exhibition and exhorted the Administration to organize a new edition of the contest.

The event was largely approved by the local authorities and by the citizens, who  manifested their enthusiastic partcicipation , a "confirmation for the succes of this event and a strong sign for the citizen's will to be involved in cultural happenings", as stated by Marco Mastrandrea, Assessor for Sports, Free Time and Communication at Seveso's City Council.

The jury panel, chaired by M° Antonello Colombo, has awarded young Contiero Alessandra for her work "Il mio spazio "  ("My Space") (acrylic on canvass).
